Top 5 On My To-Read List

 2.

3.

As you can probably tell from my choices; I'm a huge sucker for romance novels...rom-coms, chick-flicks, SATC.

Haha I'm such a girl.

I liked that these all seem to have a bit of a twist on traditional romance novels from the blurb and seem pretty popular, so I'm looking forward to reading them!

4.

I'm really enjoying coming up with ideas for jewellery and creating pieces at my silver-smithing class. I also have an interest in both fashion and design; so I'm really keen to read this book to get a peek at the creative processes behind the pieces created by jewellery designers.

5.

I've seen and enjoyed the movie based on this book - so I'm pretty intrigued to read the original story to see how they compare.

I'm currently reading Never Let Me Go and it is SO SO good, I can't recommend it enough. Really makes you think.

New York Fashion Week Faves: Diesel Black and Gold

Diesel Black and Gold;  I always enjoy looking to see what they've put on the catwalk.

Such a wearable collection; I really like a good fitted shirt, its a great wardrobe staple, so I'm glad to see it styled in so many ways on the Diesel Black and Gold catwalk. I also love leopard print and I think it looks amazing on the slightly longer shorts and skirts and the way its all been styled together works really well.

Loving the black pleated skirt teamed with the over-sized belt and shirt!

I'm loving the bucket bag trend thats emerging for spring at the moment, so I'm coveting a bag like this one! Cream and tan and studs <3 Amaze :)

Fashion Week Faves: Theyskens' Theory

What I love about the Theyskens' Theory AW12 collection is that the vast majority of it is so wearable. Lots of chunky over-sized sweaters <3 and shorts. Very city girl chic and not too done or try hard. I also really like the colours, lots of black and grey but with punches of mustard and gold tones. I love the mustard colour and chunky knitwear so the above outfit is my favourite look, that sweater is amazing.

I couldn't find a close-up shot of the models hair and make-up to post, but I really like that make-up was quite pared down with lovely copper tones on the eyes and the hair was very relaxed; worn straight and down.

New York Fashion Week faves: Victoria Beckham

I really like the feminine shapes in Victoria Beckham's AW12 collection, very tailored and nipped-in at the waist-styles, which is great! Always think they are very flattering and make the most of curves, especially when belted. My favourite piece is the dress in the two images above; love it! Love the colours, the colour-blocking, the little contrast collar (of course ;) ) Amazing.

Apart from the feminine shapes, the colour blocking and contrast collars are the stand-out things I like about this collection. I'm a huge fan of the classic military style black coat too.

What do you think about this collection?

New York Fashion Week Faves: Lauren Moffatt

I'm loving the 50's/ 60's schoolgirl vibe of Lauren Moffatt's presentation. I adore peter-pan collars, brogues...basically anything retro and a little bit cute fashion-wise. Polka dot knitwear! *swoons*

My overall favourite look!... my new full fringe will work nicely too :P

This collection from Boutique By Jaeger is completely up my street; loving retro inspired shapes and outfits at the moment.

Ahh, I also love the hair and make-up in these photos, all red lips and retro styling! <3 Really likeing red lips at the moment; thinking of getting the Topshop Rapturous Lip Stick after seeing Alix on I Covet Thee wearing it on one of her posts; looks like an amazing colour and I really like the Topshop make-up range! xx
